|A Better You Counseling & Coaching Center was started and inspired by Amanda Fink, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for the state of Florida and a Certified Life Coach. She has also been trained as a Family Mediator and a Qualified Mental Health Supervisor. Amanda has stayed focused on her goal to assist others in having a better life. For 19 years she has been working as a clinician in various counseling settings to gain the best knowledge possible to work with individuals and families. She has great experience in the following areas: Individual, Group, Family, Marriage, and Christian Counseling. Specific areas include: relational issues, conflict resolution, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, bi-polar disorder, and parenting. While working on sensitive issues Amanda is skilled at providing concrete examples at how to apply therapeutic techniques in everyday life. -Amanda has worked in various clinical settings seeking a wide variety of training to better understand the motivation of individuals and the family system. She has worked in educational settings, provide therapy for foster families, DJJ and residential settings, and private practice. Amanda has worked with individuals as young as 3 through persons who are in their 70’s. Being comfortable with one’s self and behaving in a congruent manner with one’s personality is vital at any age.

Amanda Levy is experienced in working with a wide variety of clients in different clinical settings including: hospitals, homeless shelters, and private practice. Her experience includes marriage, family, individual, and group therapy relating to marital issues, conflict management, family issues and self-esteem. Amanda also has experience with individuals who have anxiety, depression, trauma, bi-polar, and addiction. What brought Amanda to counseling was her desire to help others. Her true passion lies within marriage therapy. She believes relationships are a constant work in progress. By working on them and learning how to manage relationships in a healthy, positive way, you can improve your overall happiness and quality of life. Amanda’s therapeutic approach to counseling are family systems and the Gottman Method for couples counseling. Amanda’s main goal is to help you feel more connected to your authentic self while helping you grow individually and as a unit in order to reach your fullest potential.

Dawn Ciastko is a licensed mental health counselor, as well as an Addictions Counselor in the state of Indiana and Florida. She received her BS in Counseling from Calumet College in Whiting Indiana and her MS from Nova Southeastern University in Counseling, specializing in Addictions. In addition to her licenses Dawn also has extensive additional training in trauma, DBT and mindfulness. Her approach is eclectic with the most important piece being the person centered therapeutic relationship that is built over time. Dawn specialized in working with individuals and families impacted by addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety and other life issues. Dawn whole heartedly believes the entire person must be addressed in therapy, thus she approaches therapy from a holistic view. Humans are not linear but made up of multiple layers both psychologically and physically. Within the safety of the therapeutic relationship is when a person can begin to understand themselves with greater clarity. Dawn has recently began focusing and specializing in grief and loss work through wellness. The body is an amazing thing and when a person learns how to take care of it with nutrition and exercise, they will find themselves in a better place to tackle the emotional work of therapy.
